Inspired by the elaborate calligraphy found on any vertical surface along the tracks of Amtrak's northeast rail corridor, this book expresses, as graffiti, some of the defining terms of the new capitalism: an economic system divorced from the need for tangible goods and services to sustain it.
As the spray paint ages and peels from the concrete, new graffiti pieces replace older ones in the manner of the ever more complex financial instruments invented to prop up our new paper economy.
