The "Believers" is an investigation into religious extremism.
The work in this book was completed in 1999.
Each work has two parts: a painting on watercolor paper in alkyd oil paint and a transparent, polyester overlay
painted with enamel and alcohol soluble resins. The paintings are self explanatory and the overlays reproduce
medieval and renaissance Christian imagery.
Too many people are still killed for a non-existent god that people believe is on their side.
I carry a hope that one day we may move past the dark age of belief and into the light of reason.
